What we Do
The Guru Nanak Mission is founded on the Sikh principles of living a God-centered life, being a productive member of society and sharing with those in need (nam jappo, kirat karo, and vand chakko).
The Mission’s partners with the Faith Mission Homeless Shelter & Services to provide free meals once a month.
We seek to continually extend our service domain through active fundraising, supplying products to other organizations and assisting the homeless get back on their feet.

Get Involved in the Volunteer Program
We are always in need of volunteers to help keep this organization going. Since all the people who are involved have day jobs, the more people we can get, the more we can do for the community.
As of right now, the main volunteers that we need are for when we go to the shelter homes to help distribute food, when we organize events to collect donations and when we are organizing events to help bring about more awareness and help find other organizations that we can help.

What our logo means
Our logo, ੴ (ik ōunkār) is the Sikh symbol for unity in diversity: the One-ness of all humanity.
The organization is named after Guru Nanak (1469 - 1539) who taught that the purpose of life is to be in the service of others.
